Steve Tatge is an architect and the interim Associate Vice President for Asset Management for the University of Washington’s Facilities organization. He is responsible for the Project Delivery Group, Campus Architecture and Planning, the UW Sustainability Office, and Engineering Services, and works closely with other Facilities units and the University’s central administration around the planning, delivery, and lifecycle management of the University’s physical assets. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Project Delivery Group (PDG) and was responsible for a portfolio which often approached a billion dollars and included projects such as the recently completed $230M Hans Rosling Center for Population Health, the $80M Interdisciplinary Engineering Building, and the $224.5M Behavioral Health Teaching Facility.

Prior to joining the University in 2004, Steve directed the quality control program for Walsh Construction’s Seattle office and managed capital projects for a Seattle biotechnology firm. He was the Senior Associate for the Miller/Hull Partnership and managed several AIA award-winning projects during his 11 years there. Steve attended the UW Masters of Architecture program and has a B.A. in Psychology from Knox College. He is the recent past President of the Western Washington Chapter of the Design-Build Institute of America Northwest Region.
